OlioSuTavola Saturday 30 June “Alto Studio Tuscany Exhibition”
From 18.00 to 20.00 projections of videos of students from the United States and Singapore on the people and places of the city of Lucca.
Alto Studio Tuscany Exhibition is a visual arts program that will take place in Lucca. The program will allow students from all over the world to learn photography and cinema while taking advantage of the culture and beauty of Italy as a source of inspiration.
The professors of Alto Studio were nominated for the Academy Awards, they worked on BBC, Discovery Channel, History Channel and NatGeo. Furthermore, three visiting artists will be mentors at various stages of the program. Alto Studio is a non-profit organization founded by John Murphy in 2015.
The five-week summer program will focus on the visual arts of moving photography and moving image, lessons will be developed for a group limited to twenty students. Courses include digital video, photography and History of Italian cinema.
With lessons, criticism, projections and trips to nearby destinations, students will be completely immersed in Italian culture, allowing them to be inspired by a timeless beauty environment. Accommodation and travel in Italy are planned.
In addition to the inspiration of living and working in Italy, students will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals working in relevant fields.
Upon completion of the program, an evening of projections of all the Studio Work and a collective exhibition will take place in Lucca. In September 2018 the same show will be exhibited in New York.
